Neighborhoods, Parks and Recreation Department

Our mission...to enhance and prolong healthy lifestyles through education and recreation by offering safe, enjoyable and accessible leisure activities and programs to every citizen of Covington.

The Covington Neighborhoods, Parks and Recreation Department has two major responsibilities: overseeing the City's recreational facilities and sponsoring activities.

Click on the headings to get more information.

RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

Our City facilities vary from baseball fields to nature trails, from swimming pools to picnic shelters, and from gardens to a fishing lake. We are proud to offer our residents over 1,000 acres of recreational facilities. We also offer shelter and area rentals for events such as graduations, birthdays, weddings, and other activities.

DEVOU PARK

The 704 acre Devou Park is by far the recreational jewel of our City. Situated in the park is an 18 hole golf course, a fishing lake, a bandshell, and many other recreational resources.

SHELTER AND EVENT LOCATION RENTALS

The department has various shelters and event locations available to rent throughout the City for private functions.

PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

The Recreation Department offers many events, programs, and activities throughout the year for all members of our community. Click here for a list of this year's events.
