People with an interest in Covington businesses are invited to attend Covington Business Excellence 2014, the City's first Business Recognition Event, to acknowledge businesses in the community that have contributed to its economic vitality. The City of Covington's Business Development Division is the host of the event.

The event celebrates Covington businesses by acknowledging business excellence, commitment to the community, and proven longevity.

Winners in several categories will be recognized and receive commemorative statuettes as well as have their photos taken. Long-time Covington businesses will also be recognized with the establishment of perpetual plaques to be hung in City Hall, acknowledging their longevity, hard work and dedication.

Guest emcee for the evening will be State Representative Hon. Arnold R. Simpson.

The event is free and the community is welcome to help salute these deserving honorees.
