One event with traffic disruptions is scheduled this holiday weekend:
Peaselburg Fourth of July Parade, July 4, 11a.m.
The parade route is as follows:
- Leave St. Augustine schoolyard and turn left on 19th Street
- Left on Euclid Avenue, Right on 18th Street
- Right on Holman Avenue, Left on 19th Street
- Right on Augustine Street, Right on 21st Street
- Right on Howell Street, Left on 19th Street
- Right on Jefferson Avenue and back into the St. Augustine schoolyard parade route weather permitting
The following road closures will be in place from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 12 noon for this event:
- Jefferson from St. Augustine School to 19th;
- 19th to Euclid Avenue
- Euclid Avenue to 18th;
- 18th to Holman;
- Holman to 19th;
- 19th to Augustine;
- Augustine to 21st;
- 21st to Howell;
- Howell to 19th;
- 19th to Jefferson

The Friends of Peaselburg Neighborhood Association (FOPNA) invites you to represent your neighborhood and city at the Independence Day Parade on Friday, July 4th.
Each year the community of Peaselburg invites all residents, businesses, organizations,
and local politicians (* no campaign material distributed please) to participate in the neighborhood 4th of July Parade. If you are unable to participate in the parade, please join the neighbors that will be lining the streets.
FOPNA invites all businesses, organizations and residents to attend and show how awesome Covington is by displaying signs, banners, t-shirts, etc.
FOPNA encourages everyone to join the parade by decorating bicycles, wagons, strollers, roller-blades, scooters, skateboards, and cars/trucks/floats...and even yourself !
At the conclusion of the parade, everyone is invited to join us at St. Augustine for
a social gathering / refreshments and the announcement of prizes for:
* Youth dressed as an important American
* Youth best-decorated bicycle/wagon/stroller
* Best decorated float / car / truck (FOPNA challenges all Neighborhood Associations to enter!)
Neighbors...Please show your pride and thanks for this great country by proudly
joining in the festivities and displaying the American flag at your residence!
