City Clerk Maggie Nyhan is a Certified Kentucky Municipal Clerk. She received the certification August 1, 2014.
It takes three years to obtain the certification.
Applicants must successfully complete 120 hours of course study outlined by the Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association as approved by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
“We are very proud of Maggie,” said Frank Warnock, Covington City Solicitor and Assistant City Manager. “This is an accomplishment. It is important that we, as a City, promote and engage in professionalism.”
Maggie began working for the City of Covington September, 2000.
She was named City Clerk October, 2010.
Maggie is a Covington resident.
Maggie is the Director of the Northern Kentucky Clerks Association. She took office January 1, 2014, after having served as the Vice Director in 2013.
Legal Assistant Liz Barlik just completed her second year in the certification program, and has one more year to go. Liz works in the Legal Department, is a graduate of Chase College of Law, and is licensed to practice law in Ohio.
