COVINGTON, KY – Rumpke has delivered carts to nearly half of Covington households; however, to ensure all households receive their trash carts in July, the City asks residents to follow a few simple guidelines.
- Leave your current CSI/Republic trash cart at the curb for 48-hours after your scheduled trash collection day to allow Rumpke to collect the container and deliver a new City-issued trash cart.
- If your trash cart wasn’t removed within 48-hours of your schedule trash collection day, remove the cart from the curb and follow the same procedure next week.
- If your trash cart was removed but not replaced, please allow 48 hours for a new one to be delivered. If a new cart has not been delivered after 48 hours please contact Rumpke at 1-877-786-7537.
“We appreciate our residents’ assistance and patience with this roll-out,” said Sheila Fields, Covington Solid Waste Coordinator. “The new program will be a big improvement for our City, and the key is to make sure all residents receive and use a City-issued cart.”
Recycling carts will be delivered once all trash carts have been exchanged, beginning in late July. If you don’t receive your trash and recycling carts by August 14, please contact Rumpke at 1-877-786-7537.
