On September 30, 2015, the City of Covington/Northern Kentucky HOME Consortium will submit its 2014-2015 Consolidated Annual Plan Evaluation Report (CAPER) to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The CAPER evaluates the progress of the City in meeting the objectives outlined in its Consolidated Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the City of Covington and Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) for the Northern Kentucky HOME Consortium cities of Ludlow, Covington, Newport, Bellevue, and Dayton.
The CAPER reports on the status of the City’s and the Consortium’s efforts toward implementing performance measurements and provides a description of how the programs provided new or improved availability/accessibility, affordability, sustainability of decent housing, a suitable living environment, and economic opportunity.
The report includes a summary of the resources and programmatic accomplishments, the status of actions taken during the year to implement the overall strategy (i.e. affirmatively furthering fair housing, monitoring long term housing affordability, etc.), and an evaluation of progress made during the past year in addressing identified priority needs and objectives.
The CAPER is available for public review and comment from September 10, 2015 through September 26, 2015. A copy of the Plan can be found here.
Written comments concerning the Plan can be submitted through September 26, 2015 to Jeremy Wallace, Grants Administrator, City of Covington, 20 West Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011.
