How do you do your part?

“At Bouquet, we try to recycle as much as possible. All of our plastics, aluminum and cardboard get recycled every night. Glass bottles as well. We also try to find interesting reuses for items. Our empty wine bottles for example are picked up by a local artist and melted into sculptures he creates.”

Recycling Tips

Below are several recycling tips to assist you in doing your part:

  • Help prevent equipment breakdowns at the recycling center by never placing recyclables in plastic bags or placing plastic bags in your recycling cart.
  • Commercial businesses that produce a high volume of recyclable materials should always use clear plastic bags.
  • Prepare a plastic bottle or jug for recycling by emptying it, crushing it (if possible) and reattaching the lid.
  • Hosting Thanksgiving this year? Remember, styrofoam plates and plastic utensils are not recyclable! Use glass or reusable utensils instead.
  • During the holiday season, more packages are sent and received than any other time of the year. Remember to recycle your cardboard boxes (breakdown boxes) and holiday wrapping paper!
