COVINGTON, KY – The City of Covington’s Parks, Recreation & Facilities department is gearing up for its 2017 Adult Softball League, scheduled to begin May 15.
The 2017 season takes place at Bill Cappel Youth Sports Complex from May 15 to August 7 (end date contingent upon rain delays and any rescheduled games).
Those interested can attend the Adult Softball Coaches meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. to learn more. The meeting will take place in the City Hall Commission Chambers located at 20 W. Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011.
The meeting will discuss the upcoming season and allow participants the opportunity to provide feedback. Participants can also pay league fees and meet the Parks, Recreation & Facilities staff. Attendance is not required, but strongly encouraged.
The City offers several different league divisions, including the Men’s Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Friday leagues, Women’s Monday league and Co-Ed Saturday league. There must be at least eight teams per night registered to form a league.
Each league has an entry fee cost of $415 and includes a 12 game season with a single elimination tournament. Additionally, each team is required to pay $15 per game for the umpire fee. League fees are due by Friday, April 21, 2017.
