Supervises the processes and procedures for the recording and collecting of all payroll, net profit, and insurance premium tax returns. Supervises and assists Auditors and Finance Technicians in the maintenance and processing of all real estate tax transactions. Audits taxpayer files for compliance with all occupational license requirements. The employee reports directly to the Finance Director; he/she is expected to perform duties and responsibilities independently.
Leads audit and collection team in the maintenance of a database for billing, collecting and recording all payroll tax, net profit, insurance premium tax receipts, and all other revenue information. Ensures that taxpayer complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other occupational license and other requirements. Completes desk audit or field audit of taxpayer files and identifies potential tax compliance issues. Investigates and initiates, and approves all actions for collection of delinquent taxes.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 7 years' related experience in a computerized tax and collection environment. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
