COVINGTON, KY - Behringer-Crawford Museum's mascot, Chippie is packing his sensational science lab up and heading out to Covington parks.
Designed for children in grades K-8, this educational program engages and entertains while teaching kids science basics that tap into their natural curiosity. Jr. Scientists conduct hands on, mind-boggling experiments and learn about the amazing world around us.
"This program will give our Covington kiddos and families a free opportunity, close to home that allows them to engage in age-appropriate experiments," said Recreation Program Coordinator Erin Smiley. "The 1-hour sessions incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) elements, which is way perfect way for parents to encourage summer learning."
Families will have multiple opportunities to catch Chippie's Sensational Science Lab: "On Tour" at three local parks all summer and early fall.
