COVINGTON, Ky. - An ongoing sewer project in the Eastside neighborhood will change how residents on the eastern-most block of Ninth Street get to their houses starting Monday.

 

Specifically, Ninth Street will be blocked off at Prospect Street at the floodwall. Thus Ninth Street will cease to be one-way west, and homeowners will need to get to their homes from Greenup Street, according to the contractor working on the project for Sanitation District No. 1 of Northern Kentucky.

 

Parking on Ninth Street will continue to be affected, and there will be limited room for large vehicles to make an exit.

 

The $1.2 million project is designed to reduce sewage overflows and backups in the neighborhood.
