A delegation of students and professionals from South Korea visited the City of Covington today to learn more about the City and its administration.

The visit included a presentation and discussion with Mayor Joe Meyer about Covington and its economic climate and with City Manager David Johnston about the City’s governing structure and urban design.

The day ended with a visit to Covington Fire Department’s Station No. 1, where Chief Mark Pierce and other fire officials gave a rundown on operations, safety training, and equipment.

The visitors are participating in the International Public Policy and Management Institute through the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Kentucky.
