Currently already a Firefighter? No worries, lateral entry recruits will be paid according to the following pay scale based on consecutive years of career firefighting, as defined by the state of transfer:
Experience Entry Level
3-5 years Grade 2 ($44,739.84)
5-7 Years Grade 3 ($49,110.86)
More than 7 Years Grade 4 ($55,603.16)
Lateral hires will be placed on the seniority list at the date of hire; no other seniority privileges apply.

SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, engages directly in emergency medical care and transportation, firefighting activities, and fire prevention activities, including but not limited to the following:
- Functioning as an integral component of a team while responding to calls for service during an assigned shift
- Critical, time-sensitive, complex problem solving during physical exertion in stressful, hazardous environments while connecting and laying hose lines, administering first aid, and operating nozzles, pumps, and other special equipment as assigned.
- Provides unparalleled customer service in advanced level pre-hospital Emergency Medical Care and transportation to an appropriate medical facility
- Observes fire hazards and violations of fire laws and regulations, keep records and assist in the preparation of reports.
