City of Covington intern Isaac Daily recently accepted his “Outstanding Student” award in NKU’s College of Informatics.
COVINGTON, Ky. - Excuse us while we brag about one of our interns.
Isaac Dailey, who graduates this month from Northern Kentucky University in Communication Studies & Public Relations, started his temporary gig in the City’s Economic Development Department in March. Since then he’s been helping to administer the Small Business Incentive program and to organize business roundtables, among other things.
But recently we found out that Dailey, who is from Cynthiana:
- Won NKU’s Paul J. Sipes Award, which is presented to an outstanding senior student who displays the personal qualities of honesty, character and industry, and who has actively participated in community affairs.
- Won the NKU College of Informatics’ Outstanding Student Award for Public Relations.
- And was finalist for both Homecoming King and the 2019 NKU Senior of the Year award.
“We’re not surprised,” Economic Development Director Tom West said. “Isaac began contributing in a meaningful way to our work almost as soon as he arrived, and we’ve been thrilled to have him. In that he’s followed in a line of talented interns at the City. We’ve been very fortunate.”
Also this semester, Dailey completed an independent study in which he created a website explaining the brand and brand equity of his hometown. He will soon leave for Europe to study city branding there.
Congratulations to Isaac.
