Devou Drive will be closed to vehicles between Western Avenue and Haven Gillespie Boulevard, said William Matteoli, assistant project engineer with Covington’s Public Works Department.

 

Matteoli said a contractor for SD1 -Sanitation District No. 1 of Northern Kentucky - is installing a handful of drilled shaft piers to stabilize the road prior to work on a storm sewer project in the area.

 

“They expect to be done about the middle of the day Friday, weather permitting,” he said.

 

Drivers are being routed onto Lewis Street and Montague Road, he said.
