Jake Speed, de-stressing & NYE

COVINGTON, Ky. - We’re going to bend our rules and talk not only about the weekend in #LoveTheCov but also mention next Wednesday because ... well ... for obvious reasons.

But lest you rush forward to the New Year, you should realize that there are indeed interesting things to do this weekend, including some events designed to help you relax after a stressful holiday.

Jake Speed & ‘locomotive lore’
The holiday train display is still featured at Behringer-Crawford Museum, and Friday morning the museum will feature “Jake Speed Sings Train Songs” - a one-hour, live folk music show featuring songs about trains, railroad legends and locomotive lore.

Speed of course is a local legend (he’s a five-time winner of Cincinnati’s Best Folk/Americana Musician), and he plays guitar, harmonica, washboard and kazoo while singing and telling stories. This is kid friendly, but it’s Jake Speed, so adults will like it too.
