COVINGTON, Ky. – Lingering ice and snow are creating challenges for waste collection this week in Covington, but residents should continue to put their garbage and recycling carts at the curb on their regularly scheduled collection days.

 

That’s the advice of Rumpke Waste & Collection and the City of Covington’s Solid Waste & Recycling Division.

 

Generally speaking, trash service is on schedule but recycling has been delayed by one day throughout the city, said Sheila Fields, Solid Waste & Recycling Manager.

 

“We’re asking residents to be patient – Rumpke’s drivers are working hard under difficult conditions,” she said. 

 

With more snow and frigid temperatures expected this week, further service delays are possible, but follow the City’s communications networks for updates.
