City seeking input on CDBG/HOME ‘Annual Action Plan’
COVINGTON, Ky. – The virtual hearing scheduled for this afternoon to get feedback on the City’s proposed spending of annual federal grant money has been delayed until next Monday, April 26.
Using the link, the public will be able to access the meeting in real time – at 5:30 p.m. next Monday – and offer public comments as it is happening. Or they can view a recording at a later time. Instructions on how to offer public comments after the meeting will be provided.
The draft proposal – called the Annual Action Plan -- outlines how the City proposes investing almost $1.5 million in its neighborhoods, plus almost $600,000 on affordable housing in Covington and four surrounding cities. The money represents the expected annual allocation from the CDBG and HOME federal grant programs. It’s unrelated to COVID-19 recovery funds.

The three basic goals for the programs are to provide decent housing, to provide a suitable living environment, and to expand economic opportunities.
