Kroger says its Zero Hunger, Zero Waste program, seen
HERE, targets an incomprehensible equation: 40 percent of food produced in the United States is thrown away, yet 1 in 9 people go hungry.
How can you participate?
- Reduce food waste by buying “imperfect” produce – (some stores actually have an “imperfect produce section” with lower prices).
- Round up your purchase by selecting the Zero Hunger, Zero Waste button at checkout.
