(EDITOR'S NOTE: This is another in a series of recycling tips from the City of Covington's Neighborhood Services Department, Solid Waste & Recycling Division.)
COVINGTON, Ky. – New year, new me. Right?
Even if your commitment to those diet and exercise resolutions starts to ebb, we have a vow that’s easy to fall in line with: Commit to less waste in 2022!
Here are reminders from last year that will help you not only recycle more but also recycle better:
- Don’t “wish-cycle” single-use beverage cups, including, plastic, and Styrofoam cups, or plastic film packaging.
- Keep reusable mugs and shopping bags handy.
- Consider packaging recyclability before making a purchase.
- Tubs can now be recycled curbside. So can clean paper bags, cardboard sleeves, and juice box cartons without the straws and caps.
