Your voting location has likely changed

Whether casting ballot Tuesday or early, check to see where

COVINGTON, Ky. – Tuesday, May 17, is primary Election Day in Kentucky, and whether you vote then or decide to vote early, chances are you will NOT be voting where you have in the past.

The number of voting locations in Covington has been sharply reduced this year in favor of larger, more centralized locations.

Here are details from Kenton County Clerk Gabrielle Summe for Covington voters:

Tuesday

Hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. For locations, see the chart attached to this article for Covington-only precincts. Or look at COUNTYWIDE ELECTION DAY LOCATIONS.

Sample ballots are below.

Early voting

This started Thursday and continues today and Saturday. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. You are not required to have an “excuse” for voting early. But note that early voting occurs only at assigned centers. See EARLY VOTING LOCATIONS for where to vote.

Depending on where you used to vote, you will be directed to one of four places:

  • Calvary Baptist Church, 3711 Tibbatts St. (Latonia).
  • Life Learning Center, 20 West 18th St.
  • Kenton County Government Center, 1840 Simon Kenton Way.
  • Independence Senior Center, 2001 Jackwoods Parkway (Independence).

Sample ballots

Although four of the five seats on the Covington Board of Commissioners are up for election this year (excluding the fifth seat held by the Mayor), there is not a primary. Otherwise, here are sample primary ballots:
