COVINGTON, Ky. – If your New Year’s resolutions included a commitment to invest in your peace of mind, creative endeavors, and overall well-being, then this weekend presents you with a good start.
Hues & Cues … Settlers of Catan … Mysterium … Azul … Smash Up … Zombie Dice … and more. It’s the invasion of the board games as they take over the Kenton County Library on Saturday, inviting you to come play and emerge victorious.
Board Game Day at Kenton County Public Library includes games and snacks. All you need to bring is your competitive spirit.
Here’s a chance to invest in your fitness goals. But more importantly it’s a chance to make a dog happy, which is surely also on your list of things to do in 2025.
Run with the Dogs of Kenton County Animal Shelter at 1020 Mary Laidley Road on Sunday gives you a chance to both get in extra steps and also give shelter dogs a much-needed break from their kennels.
And it’s free.
With a new year comes new book goals, so get a good start on surpassing last year’s reading goals and get yourself to the bookstore.
We’re not drawing attention to any particular events this weekend at Conveyor Belt Books and Roebling Point Books & Coffee, we’re just saying that a trip to these bookstores is an event in its own right.
You COULD order off Amazon. But then you’d miss out on the personality, friendly staff, and exquisite titles at The Cov’s TWO independent bookstores.
Friday: Carlos Vargas Trio at Juniper’s.
Saturday: Michael Scharfe Trio at Juniper’s.
Tonight: Cuentame un cuento!/Spanish Storytime at Kenton County Public Library.
