COVINGTON, Ky. – Offices at Covington City Hall will be closed Monday to honor the federal holiday marking the birth anniversary of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a free event to honor King’s legacy will be held Saturday morning in Covington. The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Discussion Breakfast begins at 9:30 a.m. at Church of Our Savior Parish Hall, 246 E. 10th St.
The event will serve up both breakfast and a program featuring remarks by Father John Judie titled “Racism Yesterday and Today.” Father Judie, a retired priest from the Archdiocese of Louisville, recently was doing mission work in Tanzania.
The program is free and open to everyone.
