Bonded Spirit & cleanup info session

COVINGTON, Ky. – If you’re seeking out sipping and singing this weekend, you will want to spend your Saturday in The Cov.

The Bonded Spirit Music Festival happens on Saturday and with that comes the Bonded Spirit Music Trail, and that trail is all over The Cov (there’s a map for it, so you’ll know where to find the tunes you want to hear).

There’s also yoga, St. Pat’s prep workshops, make-your-own jewelry workshops, a get-together information session for the Great American Cleanup, and a whole lot more. So … something for just about every interest.

Relieve your tension

Rest, oh weary doom-scroller, you’ve had enough chaos for one day.

Take yourself to tonight’s gentle vinyasa flow class at the Kenton County Public Library, where Flow & Unwind Yoga will leave you feeling refreshed and well-rested.

Got green?

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, so assemble that holiday ensemble.

Not a lot of green in your closet? Not to worry. You can make everything you need for a respectful showing at the pubs, and you can do it all at the Kenton County Public Library.

On Friday, there’s the 3D Printed Celtic Knot Earrings and Pendants demonstration. On Saturday, there’s both the St. Patrick’s Day Stickers demonstration and a Green Tie Dye workshop.

Precious nuggets

Speaking of pendants, create your own pendant on Saturday at Purple Paisley, Local Artisan Shop’s Pendant Design & Creation class.

You’ll design and create your pendant using blue chalcedony and blue lace agate, and get it all sparkly with Swarovski crystals and metal beads. Once you’re finished you’ll get to select a chain for your new, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.

Gearing up for a big ’ol spring cleaning

Any successful cleanup project begins with a good planning, otherwise you’re three hours into organizing the top drawer of your bedside table because every bookmark and paperclip holds a precious memory you need to sit with.

Thus imagine how sidetracked you could get tidying up a city … or cities all over the country.

The good news is, The Center for Great Neighborhoods, Keep Covington Beautiful, and The Roost Latonia are partnering on Saturday for the Great American Cleanup Information Session. The event happens at The Roost, which brings the promise of fine coffee and pastries, while you get all the information you need to prepare for the nationwide community cleanup event that happens April 26.

You’ll both get the scoop on how to register for the event and also have the chance to offer suggestions on making this year’s Great American Cleanup the cleanest yet.

Bonded Spirit Music Fest goes citywide

If ever there were a time to drink copious amounts of bourbon, now is that time. Not that we ever need a reason, but it seems a good time to support Kentucky’s $9 billion signature industry. Here’s just the festival for you to enjoy America’s Native Spirit and marvel at amazing musical talent all the while.

Saturday’s Bonded Spirit Music Festival is going to be on dang near every corner in The Cov with the Bonded Spirit Music Trail.

The city-wide Bonded Spirit Music Trail lineup will find Sydney Adams performing at Revival Vintage Spirits & Bottle Shop ... Jonny Estep & Gravel Drive at The Globe Covington … Branden Martin at Wenzel Whiskey … Billy Cantrell at Knowledge Bar & Social Room … Marcus Oglesby at Wiseguy Lounge … and Jonathan Cox at Libby’s Southern Comfort.

Now that your head is spinning with excitement, and you’re doing a logistical diagram in your head to make sure you see every performance, we’ll add to the list to make sure you completely lose your mind over all the talent that’s going to be in The Cov: There’s the Brothers Comatose, Lindsay Lou, and Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley on the festival’s Main Stage at Smoke Justis, all backdropped by the iconic Roebling Suspension Bridge.

This is a not-to-miss event for bourbon enthusiasts and fans of Americana and Bluegrass music,
