COVINGTON, Ky. -Troy McCain spun the wheel of his Kenworth T350 dump truck and almost took out the orange cones guarding the narrow lane he was maneuvering through. “I thought I lost it for a minute,” he said, laughing as the uneven pavement and sharp turns caused him to bounce up and down inside the truck’s cab. $300K on table at Tuesday’s open house

Ritte’s Corner in Latonia is an example of a neighborhood business area eligible for The Ripple Effect. COVINGTON, Ky. - Create a plan to revitalize your neighborhood business area, and the City of Covington will invest $300,000 to help implement the public part of that plan.  But there’s a catch: You have to compete with other Covington areas to “win” the City’s...

City: Where to apply RIPPLE Effect?

COVINGTON, Ky. - Drop a pebble in a pond, and it creates a ripple. But toss in a whole bunch of bigger rocks at the same time, and it creates a series of waves that reach higher, travel further, and last longer - resonating long after the rocks themselves have disappeared.   That’s the motive behind a new initiative in the City of Covington that will focus the City’s resources and...
